How we choose to gather matters

At The Long Table Co., we believe a meaningful experience can do more than bring people together. It can support the local businesses and communities that make a place special—and be thoughtful about the impact we leave behind.

Whenever possible, we choose local, work with small businesses, and look for simple ways to create memorable experiences with less waste.

SUPPORT LOCAL

The best experiences often start close to home.

We love working with local venues, restaurants, caterers, makers, activity providers and other small businesses that bring their own story and character to an experience.

From oysters harvested nearby to a locally owned restaurant, independent venue or neighborhood business, we look for opportunities to keep more of the experience—and the investment—within the community.

GATHER THOUGHTFULLY

Memorable doesn’t have to mean more.

Thoughtful choices can make an experience feel special without creating unnecessary excess. When possible, we look for ways to reduce waste, source locally, use reusable or lower-waste options, and be intentional about what an experience actually needs.

Sometimes the simplest experiences are the ones people remember most.

BUILD COMMUNITY

A gathering can have an impact beyond the people at the table.

Choosing a local venue. Hiring an independent photographer. Bringing in food from a neighborhood restaurant. Working with a local guide, artist or wellness provider.

Those choices help create a more distinctive experience while supporting the people and businesses that make a community what it is.

OUR APPROACH

We won’t claim every Long Table experience is perfectly sustainable. We will promise to be thoughtful.

To ask questions. To seek out local options. To recommend small businesses when they’re a great fit. And to make choices that feel good for your group, the experience and the community around it.

Because how we gather matters.
